Learning Center Room 203
On the evening before his crucifixion, Jesus celebrated the Passover (the last Supper) with his disciples. What was the significance of this event for the Jewish people? What meaning does it have for Christians? HSLC is offering a five-session class during Lent that will consider the Exodus of the Children of Israel from slavery in Egypt, including the Biblical account in the Book of Exodus, the historical background, and the archeological evidence. The fourth session will examine the implications of the Sinai Covenant that God made with them during the Exodus for the future of freedom in America. The culminating class will involve participation in a Jewish Passover Seder. There will be two options of class time each Wednesday: 12:00 – 1:00 PM in the sanctuary (Feel free to bring lunch if you wish.) and 6:30 – 7:30 PM in Room 203 of the Learning Center.
